Description

The listing, 1901-02 Shanley's Annex Restuarant Graphic Card Of The Famous has ended.

115 years old and great condition.
Shanley's Annex opened in 1880 and closed in 1925 by seven Shanley brothers in New York. They put a graphic card on each table. The card I have is signed by 16 famous people of that time. Famous people who have frequented the resturant were: John & Ethel Barrymore-Teddy Roosevelt-Harry Houdini-Richard Mansfield-Diamond Jim Brady-Lillian Russell. Fredrick Evans signed this card, he was a renowned british phorograher. Even Thomas Shanley signed it. Peter F. Meyer was the graphic artist for the cards. For 1901 the card holds its vivid color. The signayure are all authentic written in pencil with no erase marks. This card was up for auction many years ago at a few hundred dollars. Condition is great! The white ribbon has come loose but can be re-attached. I will leave it as is-original.
