Another great item Lizzie! These can be mixed with soil, can't they? I know the colors won't show that way, but I have some impatiens in pots and this might help them hold water better during dry spells. Been looking for something like this on Listia!

Thank you for commenting. They are suppose to be used with bare roots. I'm not sure if they would work as good with soil. I haven't tried that yet. I'll try it so I'll know for the future auctions. I have a greenhouse and will be starting seedlings soon. That would be a great way to see if that works too. I'll try it both ways and take pictures to post of both either way. Of course not in this auction, but as soon as I have something to take a picture of. Thank you for the idea. Good Luck Bidding!

A few months ago someone had miracle mud on here. I'd never heard of it, but I got outbid. Have you ever used it? Supposedly can be used either alone or mixed with soil to hold more water.

At this point all my flowers are planted, but I will be away all summer and thought that something like this might help save them if it doesn't rain for a month. I have someone who can water them for me though, so it's not critical.

I've never heard of miracle mud. I hesitate to make a call on that as I have no idea yet if it can be mixed with soil. You might try Google or a Nursery for advice on that. I'm sorry, but I'm no expert and I would hate to give you the wrong advice unintentionally. I hope you understand.=-)

I think that was what it's called, can't remember for sure. We're leaving tomorrow for vacation so I'm not going to search for it now, but apparently people tend to buy way too much and can't use it all. Would like to see it again on Listia!

I looked up this sort of thing last fall when i wanted to bring some of my plants inside. I know Agway sells potting soil with the polymer in it, so I dont see why this wouldn't work I've also seen where you can buy a container of the stuff to mix in with the soil on e-bay the stuff is called SOIL MOIST.

When hydrated, what is the volume?

I'm sorry for the late reply. You are suppose to soak them in 1 liter of water and they do soak most of it up too. I have re-listed this auction if you're still interested. Thank you very much.
