This coin is a U.S. Mint Commemorative coin struck in 90% Silver but was actually minted for, and promoted by the California Film Industry with a motion picture exposition held in June of 1923.
The Reverse side of this coin was what everyone was talking about, for it depicts the western hemisphere in the shape of 2 Female Figures as the Continents.
This is a scarce coin with only 274,077 coins originally struck.
