Description

The listing, Collectible Bill: 2006 District L (San Francisco) $1 Star Note has ended.

Up for bid is a collectible US Star Note! Star Notes are identified by the 'star' at the end of the serial number and are "error replacement" notes." Approximately 1/2 of 1% of bills printed each year are Star Notes making them VERY collectible!

When collecting Star Notes you try to get one from each run in a given series (year). This Star Note is a Series 2006 $1 bill from district L, Run 2.

For this series there were 18 runs printed:

District B (New York): 4 runs
District D (Cleveland): 1 run
District F (Atlanta): 3 runs
District G (Chicago): 3 runs
District J (Kansas City): 2 runs
District K (Dallas): 1 run
District L (San Francisco): 4 runs

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CONDITION: The star note shown in the photos is for example only so you can see what signature blocks you'll be getting, etc. The condition of your bill will vary as all are circulation finds. I promise that it won't have hole, have pieces missing, be ripped or torn or have significant damage. It will be at least an F (Fine) quality or above.

Shipping is free! I am listing a number of different Star Notes so be sure to bid on them all!

*PLEASE VOTE* I want Listia to add a "Conditional Free Shipping" option that removes shipping if bids hit a certain amount. PLEASE VOTE FOR IT on Listia's feedback site: http://bit.ly/GMgDV5 If you agree with this, please add this to your auctions!

You were asking about two Silver Certificates that you have.. a 1957 and a 1957a ...

There really is no difference other than they are two different series, or years. If you look at coins, each coin has a year on it. If you have two quarters, one from 2003 and one from 2004, they are the same except that they were made in two different years.

Approximate Printing Dates:
Series 1957: 07/1957-01/1961
Series 1957a: 01/1961-04/1962
Series 1957b: 01/1963-03/1965

Delivery Dates:
1957: 09/09/57 to 03/03/61
1957A: 01/27/61 to 02/07/63
1957B: 01/17/63 to 11/06/63

Hope that helps!

i think LISTIA should at least give sellers FREE creds equal to(min) on (if it fits it ships, flat rate shipping boxes(depending on item size and weight up to 70lbs is max for this type of shipping)
OldDogEyes,on this auction cost you about a stamp if no DC included(dc cost at post $0.75 plus cost of stamp)PLEASE don't take offence.
I'm just saying it cost me $6.10 to ship two games with DC tracking using flat rate box;buyers cost zero,it just doesn't feel too fun to me when i foot the cash cost to ship.
