This is a fun pattern (by Artful Illusions) for a soft sculpture Poinsettia Plant. This is a beautiful and very life-like pattern and best of all, it needs no watering. :) (And THIS poinsettia won't be dangerous to your cats!) The large blooms measure 14" in diameter and stand 18" tall.

Note: *Patterns are actual size: no enlarging necessary!

All necessary hardware items can be inexpensively purchased from a hardware store.

Items needed to complete this project:

Fabric 44"-45" wide
1 1/3 yard (for leaves and stems)
2/3 yard (for petals)
1/8 yard (for stamen)
Matching thread
3/8" wood dowel (18" inches long)
35" of 18 gauge wire
3 cotton balls
marking tape
hot glue gun or craft glue
wire cutters
pliers
flower pot
*styrofoam to fit flower pot -- *optional

Recommended fabrics: light to medium weight cottons of cotton blends, broadcloth, poplins, chintz, etc. Stay away from stretchy fabrics.
