you do realize you can send in shreded money to the united states treasurey and they will send you a new bill. One many shot one out of a shotgun sent in the pieces and they gave him a new one. it was a 20$

The US Treasury can give you a replacement as long as it's clearly more than 50% of a bill. (Otherwise people would be cutting bills in half all the time to get double the money, lol) Chances are they probably shredded many bills and tried to get as many non-matching pieces together in a bag.
