As far back as I can remember, it's always been known as a "silver dollar" even if it wasn't silver. Just doesn't sound right saying a "dollar coin". lol So most of them were made for the collector? I can see that. Never seen a drink machine or what have you that took silver dollars. and if you had a 100 or so, that would be something to carry around in your pocket. :) Thanks
