yep exactly like that. But you do want to swing it too hard. Just enough to make contact with the bug. It is electrified.

I have one of these and they work like a charm! I have scared my kids into compliance by just joking that I would zap them with it, too. Such a hoot! The bigger bugs are, the more you have to zap them to utterly fried. Smells like victory every time it works, therefore.
