The listing, Mimosa silk tree has ended.
For grabs 5 mimosa seeds. Exp 10/2018
GIN and I will add 5 more seeds.
Prepare the Mimosa/Silk seeds for sowing after the last spring frost. Rub the end of each seed with a nail file until a small, pale spot appears on the hull. Soak them in hot water for 24 hours before sowing.
With their feathery foliage and delicate flower clusters, Silk/ Mimosa Trees (Albizia julibrissin) add an exotic feel to gardens within U.S. Department of Agriculture hardiness zones 6 to 9. Mature Silk/ Mimosa trees bloom prolifically in summer, setting drifts of pale pink flowers that give way to long, flat seed pods in fall.
Once removed from the pods, Silk tree seeds germinate effortlessly and will rapidly put on growth. For best results, you do need to lightly process the seeds and sow them in the right conditions.
