I have one of these. The iPhone charging cable connects in the back. So, it's kind of like a "go between". It's cool because it holds the phone upright and keeps from bending the cord (like what I do when I'm watching videos on it). I think there is a jack in the back to plug in speakers. It's a normal plug and is the same as if you plugged speakers into your computer's headphone jack. Ya know?
So.. No batteries. The iPhone cord charges the phone. It has the same kind of end thats on your iphone's charging cable. It fits inside the phone when you set the phone into the cradle, which helps hold the phone upright. Hope that helps.
Actually, mine looks different. See how the hole is square? Mine is open. I don't know that an iPhone 3GS like mine would fit in that square hole. Hope Sketchywood can answer or show photos of the back. I could be completely wrong. Sorry.
Thank you for all your info I appericate it! :). Yeah I have a iPhone 3G too. Aren't all iPhones the same? Where you plug in the cord or are the 4s different? Ty ;)
...I think you have it backwards @sasha....not to confuse people, but the iPhone 3 and 3GS have rounder, curved edges. The iPhone 4 is shaped squarish. I have a 4s but I sometimes use my friend's charger at her house and she and her husband have the 3 and 3GS, so I think the charging ports are very similar, but this particular dock looks like it would better fit an iPhone 4. (Btw, the iphone 4 and iphone 4s are the same as far as the exterior build)
I'm glad we figured all that out for Sketchywood. Where ate they anyway? Awesome photo, tjquik! I want one like that! Only sellers with so much experience or credits can offer GIN. Some don't think it's fair to others. I get turned away from GIN. I always think "They're expecting that many credits?!" I used to not even bid when I saw large GIN. I thought that's how high bidding could go and decided not to waste my time. I'm still learning! So, how do I get a photo like that? What do I gotta do?
