I bought this when I first moved into my current home 16 years ago. This is actually a complete hanging picture in itself that feels like it could have been made out of wood or some other hard material, it's hard to say. As you can see though, the photo depicts the orca whale and on the back, there's a groove in it in which you can hang the picture. The signs of aging are noticeable in the back and there are tiny bits of paint missing on the corners which I don't think are terribly noticeable and can probably be "touched up." A great item for one who has "sea legs"...thanks for looking!
