Its not a funny back. Its what your great grandparents called a green back,and it was actually backed by silver! None of those phony federal Reserve notes we be passing around !

It's a funny back. The name refers to how the back of it looks like "Monopoly" money.
Greenbacks were issued during the Civil War, but the name is also used to reference any other US paper money not backed by gold or silver. The funny back is a silver certificate, therefore not a Greenback.
