The listing, Antique Shou shan Jadeite Jade Statue with Grapes- RARE has ended.

This is a Antique Hand Carved Shoushan Jadeite Statue that I purchased at an Antique Store going out of business sale. It has Grapes and Leaves the color is a translucent light olive green with Dark Jade Stand all one piece and Marked with a carved A on the bottom and a sticker on back that says "Art No. "210-7"- Made in the Peoples Republic of China" with Chinese writing also which I assuning is the same as the English information of where it was made.

Measures 5 3/4 inches wide by 3 5/8 inches tall and 1 1/4 deep. It's Solid and Heavy for nice size Authentic Collectable!

I'm a very honest person when it comes to my auctions and I hate it when someone comes in and trys to make comments that are not true or negative towards them!! If this was soapstone as Haplo127x claims..you could take a knife..and on the bottom
try to scratch it..if it scatches..it's soapstone..Jade is very hard..and that's one of the
tests I do to check if its real Jade..I do know..I've been in China now for 9 years and

It's already packed and I didn't think to put the weight in the...silly me. but I believe it weight a pound or 2 not really sure. sorry once I Safely pack an item I don't mess with it to be ensure I don't break it by accident.

It's beautiful but it's not Jadeite, it's Soapstone. I know because my father used to import and sell them in the 70's. They weren't cheap and this is a lovely example! Fanned and watching!

Doesn't matter what it is made of .... If they like it they will bid.... HECK SAKES.... what more do they want "it is free and free shipping to boot" People just need to get over them selves..... and get on with life. It personnally caught my eye because it was grapes. didn't care what it was made out of. I have one of these that i bought at the Haffenreffer musium in 1977. Think I paid about $30 for it and yes, it is soap stone. mine is about 6+" long and 5" high

I usually Always look up SEVERAL different Sites and Books Before placing a title to items.Thanks again but I'll stick to what I consider genuine fact. Hi lissa, I'm sorry if you answered this question in your comments already (a bit too many to sift thru..) and I didn't see it in your description, but i'm wondering are there any chipped or broken parts on the leaves and such? It's probably easier to notice those in person than in the pics, tho your pics are very nicely done!
