The power does come on when you put batteries in it. The AM/FM radio part seems to be working, how ever the volume waqs kind of low and I don't know if it was the head phone I was using were not the right fit or if there is something wrong with the volume control too. I was able to pick up some radio stations, just the volume wasn't right. If you put a tape in it the tape won't turn. You can bid on it if you would like, maybe you can fix it but that is up to you. I just want to be honest about it. Bid at your own risk. I hope this helps you and thank you for your interest in it.

The radio is working yes, but the volume level was kind of weird. I don't know if that was damaged or if it was the headphones I was using. I mentioned something about it below in the comments. I hope this helps and thank you for your interest.

I wish I was joking. I accidently dropped it and now it won't work. Nothing broke off of it and it is in one piece, but it won't play any tapes. Sorry. Thank you for asking and for bidding. I tried to have the auction closed but Listia wouldn't take the auction off here.
