the waist band is actually folded and if you unfolded that it's an extra like 3 or 4 inches. I had to keep them rolled, the legs are comfortably wide. They are about 11 or 12 inches wide, that's my guess by looking at them and counting with my finger. :-)

they really are, the legs are 100% cotten (doesn't feel like it though) and the waist band is 98% cotton and 2% spandex :-)
