The listing, $56.32 of Silver in 12 Half Dollars: 1918-S, (4)1964-P, 1964-D, (2)1965, 1966, 1967, 1968-D & 1969-D has ended.

12 US silver half dollars. 6 are 90% silver and 6 are 40%. 11 of the coins have been dipped to remove tarnish and are revealed to be AU/BU I think. Using the coin calculator on Coinflation.com, with the silver price of $17.30 an ounce on today 1/31/2018, this brings the melt value of silver of the coins of this listing to $56.32!

I checked the 90% silver coins with a Sigma Analytics Precious Metal Verifier (see http://www.sigmametalytics.com/purchase/pmv-original-description.html) and they are verified to be genuine, not plated.

Dipping is actually very bad for coins, it removes a small amount of the silver to make it look shiny, thus damaging the coin permanently and will cause it to deteriorate quicker over time. The dipping solutions are acidic in nature. Coins should never be cleaned, actually causes the coins to lose value. If looked at under magnifier, you will see pits in the coins...there's a very good article here about cleaning coins
