Questions & Comments
Oh by the way, I have a Seiko Smart Pad the was an accesory for the Palm. Just need a Palm to see if it works. My team leader won't let me borrow hers, even though she never uses it anymore
Ok, maybe this will help with questions. Palm pilots, like old Blackberrys, were basicly organizers. They were good for keeping phone numbers, addresses, client info, ect. They are not phones, and they do not have wifi or cameras, or automaticly accept e-mail. You have to Hot-Sync it to a PC to upload info into it or download into into the PC to upload to a server. The company I represent used to advise us to use this unit to get and upload client info to the company server about five years ago. Technoligy has moved on. The companys tech center no longer accepts Palm operating systems, having moved on to MS moble and then MS Web Based operating systems to support a reps ability to work instantly from a clients kitchen table. Don't get me wrong, Palms were very good in their day and did a good job. It's just today, they are old tech and don't do what a cell or smart phone, tablet or notebook can do today.
I know thats why i got it for my mom because she doies not know of any of that tech stuff and is still in the dark age! i thought i wouold try to ease her into it but she wont use it.
Terry, Your Mom reminds me of the Dr. on the TV show NCIS. The younger agents are looking for info from the Dr. in his office. They're tearing through his desk, when the senior head agent ask what they are doing. Ayoung agent says there're looking for the Dr.'s phone or PAD. The senior agent says that the Dr. PDA is a notebook and a pen. Being I'm in my sixth decade I can understand. I prefer to write checks then trust an electronic transfer. I've had to keep up some with computers because my business requires it. Life's moving way to fast for many of us.
I'm not to familiar with this particular item. I could use something that would allow me to take some quick notes during the day and upload them into my computer either into MS word or some other program for printing. Is this capable of doing that or is it just a Rolodex. LOL
Terry, Do you have the programming disks or software that goes with this item. We had to download software from our companies Tech center to upload to a PC to upload In the computer and electronic world it's all about money, and who can keep changing things to make the most.
Darn laptop, Brand new, yet when typing, it jumps to wherever it wants and leaves half of message out. We'll try again. Do you have the programming disks or software that goes with this item. We had to download software from our company's tech center to be able to upload to a PC to upload to the company's servers. I don't know if Palm supports it's operating system, as this is old tech and like MS they often quit support to get you to buy newer stuff. In the computer and electronics world it's all abount money, and who can keep changing things to make the most.
yup your hands are to close to the mouse pad on there and its reading that so it moves the curser to that spot. so when your typing lift your hands up higher. and it should stop jumping around on you! Sorry no i do nothave any support disk to go with this item. sorry.
