I have this dumb cane starter that was off my plant you can see the roots are nice and long, I have had it growing in some water for awhile now. Thanks for looking.

It just grew along side of my plant, so its not clone just a baby from my big one, mine started to go dormant this winter for some reason and got the baby so I took the baby out and put in water and now it is growing like crazy and so is my big one starting to.

I have seen these get really big but if you dont keep transefering into bigger pots you can usually keep the the size you want for a long time.
