The listing, Victorian Photograph -The Lady in White- has ended.
Victorian photograph of a lady dressed in white. From my best guess, I would say that this was a cabinet card, seeing how it is larger than earlier pictures and on thicker cardboard mount. It was trimmed at one point in time to probably be put in an album with art corners. Going by fashion and hairstyle, it appears to have been taken in the 1890's, maybe slightly earlier. The style of dress, neck dressing, and small watch & chain pinned to her waist were all highly popular during the 1890's. I believe the name written on the back reads Lizzie Roudier. She is quite lovely, despite the "crispy" nature of the photo, and her feet have almost faded from existence, rendering her a bit ghostly. The photo is worn. No two ways about it. It's yellowed, creased, crumbly at the edges, and faded in places but I personally love that aesthetic. Beautiful elaborate Victorian woodwork in the background. It is approximately 4x5". She comes with the frame seen in last photo for protection.
