Offered for your bidding pleasure is a beautiful Druzy Quartz Agate pendant wrapped in sterling silver with bale. Lovely nearly-transluscent in places . . . you can even see the agates layer structure. Druzy is a layer of crystals that form within a mineral crust, like the inner cavity of a geode, and here you see it in a darker brown agate.

Measuring a bit over an inch long by 3/4" wide, the agate is not backed so as to let the light in and enhance its beauty. It has a nice silver bale and I'm throwing in a ball chain just for kicks (what you see in the photo is the exact set you'll receive!). The chain measures 18" long.

This piece comes from a small collection of my Grandmother's jewels from the 1960s. The piece is cut perfectly to enhance the crystalized feature, just a bit off-center, so you can barely see the subtle line and color variations. The front is highly polished around the druzy center; the back shows the direction of cut (has an extremely small chip on the edge, but cannot be seen from the front).

Quite a beautiful piece! I'm offering it here because I never wear it . . . and my kids have divied up the remainder of Grandma's jewels with their wives! That's OK with me, I'm glad to pass along my family's good vibes. ;)
