Good used softcover.
The Christian Zombie Killers Handbook follows the fictional life of Ben Forman and offers Bible teachings to guide readers in their understanding of the gravity and consequences of life without God; that is, of life as a zombie. This story offers that anyone can kill the zombie inside, escape the un-dead, and come alive by the power of God's salvation. This book is a mixture of fiction and non-fiction. One half is fiction, a zombie story, and the other half is nonfiction, how the Bible effects our everyday lives. The zombie within us is our sin nature, and this book helps us - through the fiction story as well as with lots of Bible applications - learn how to tame the zombie within us.It does make you stop, think and relate to your own life and personal choices.I would recommend this to anyone, although its really targeting the younger generation. It has a positive message that teenagers can easily understand and relate to. In a world of pansy--money driven--Christianity there is very little openly stated theology. Kinley does not show an inkling of trying to make people feel better. What he has done is taken a strong stance on how broken everyone is--especially Christians. Absolutely, there are strong stated theological concepts, but that alone is refreshing to see. A Christian author who lays it all on the line not in the direction of everything being okay, but in the direction, that the world is a overwhelmingly broken and evil place. This book is everything the title begs to be, rough, disturbing, and full of carnage. If you are not willing to be pushed around mentally and theologically, then maybe you should go read Max Lucado, but if you thrive to experience what's consuming you every day, then dare to read Christian Zombie Killers Handbook.
