Light tan continuous thread of yarn. Ball is about 2 inches diameter and left over from one of the wife's projects.

I don't understand how unwinding it would reduce the shipping cost, it would still be the same weight? Can you explain?

what this person means by "reduced shipping", is its NOT as bulky, if unwound, therefore less cost for "them" to ship it. Also, it can be shipped in an envelope, padded or regular versus in a BOX. . Hope this helps clarify.
