Imagine our young country when this coin came out of the mint, blazing a shiny red color. John Adams was President and Thomas Jefferson was Vice President. George Washington had just died the previous December. Our country was expanding across the Appalachians but as we had not yet acquired the Louisiana Purchase, the US had its western border at the Mississippi River. I am pretty sure that a coin like this has never been offered on Listia and I am starting this at a low price so everyone can have a chance.
