could I get a bit more info on the book? My son is 5, and just learning how to read...is it a children's book, or a list of new pokemon, or?

It says the ultimate travel guide to the newest pokemon region....I know nothing about pokemon.....it seems to be little stories about different things that i don't understand at all lol but for a pokemon fan I am sure they would get it....
