is the date on the picture how old this is and does it need software like a cd or anything like that .

No, I took the picture the day it was listed. My batteries had died in the camera and when I replaced them, I didnt bother changing the settings. I didnt need a cd or anything. Just plugged it into my comp and it was like a usb port. Automatically read it. Thanks!

thanks my laptop is xp by H.P. was wondering if it fit sometimes the programs they sit in the computers makes it hard to use anything else. thanks for letting me know.
