This is a huge rose de franc amethyst, which is basically just a name for a lighter color of amethyst it is not supposed to be dark in color like the deep saturated african amethyst, as far as i know this stone has not been treated, but may have been the person i got this from said it was not i trust them as far as being a genuine gemstone but i dont know them well enough like my gem guy and i did not get this from him so i do not want to say surely it is untreated but chances are its not are good, this is over 4.5 carats thanks for looking i appreciate it and if any questions please feel free to comment or email, i read and answer all please listia verified addresses only thanks ==)
