The listing, PEYTON MANNING AUTOGRAPH READ DESCRIPTION has ended.
Not sure if its handsigned or manufacturer authentic auto. I do know some 90s autos like proline did not have authenticity on the cards, Don't know about 2000s. Does say inscribed and is numbered 102 of 199. Does noy say certified auto anywhere on the card. Autograph is in black ink and not stamped on card. Any info on card from collectors would be appreciated.
Im a 20 year spotrs card collector and have a sports card store and grade cards sorry to tell you but that card is a fake I have lots of his cards/photos/footballs/jerseys/ect. And that one is a really bad fake. Sorry bout that
Thank you for your input much appreciated but can you tell me how you know its a fake when Ive taken to the other dealers around this area and they were unsure. If it is such a poor fake why does it resemble the other autos on ebay so much?
just by my investigation into the signature itself(its a fake) when a person signs their name even though they think they sign it several different ways there are certain markers in a signature. if you look at all of the Manning real signed autographs you will notice for one he places his number 18 on the right hand side of his name,2 the t in his first name always has the loop,3 the M in Manning always I say yes always is rounded top and not pointed top like in this card 4 the g in Manning always goes straight up from the end of the signature. based on those 4 points of his verified signature in my opinion this is a fake.sorry but yoiu can either take my advice or not it really doesnt matter as each person will have their own opinion but a signature style does not change within a person they will always sign it with those simple strokes of any given letter whether they are trying to change it up or not but hey Im only someone who looks closely at the facts for a living so like I said everyone will always form their own opinion. it is marker written but thats about it. nice card though
Hope this helps... I've gotten from Earl before and it was good, so he's trustworthy (and fun...lol). However, I have seen many Peyton autos, as well as have two in my shop, and there are some inconsistencies... take a look and compare.

it is not autopen its not preprinted it is signed in marker. by who? that is the burning question of the auction! and if we had that answer who knows where it would be now
actually it is autopen it was signed by a machine as a paralell by fleer inscribed. i have a dan marino and a elway that look identicle. maybe if you knew what you had you wouldnt be trying to tell people what it is.
And again autopen is done by machine!!!!!!! this is not done by machine!!!!!!!!! it is plain as day marker added to the card after the card was printed!!!!!!!!!
If it were a paralell then we would all know what it was, if it were a paralell all three of the local card dealers in this area would know what it was. and as stated several other times if i was absolutely positive as to what it was it probably would not of ended up here on a free auction
just for kicks here is a link to several of his signatures in which you can see what i am talking about the most easiest of the signature loop tells is in his last name the M it is always rounded top like I said never a pointed top like in your card. http://www.sportsmemorabilia.com/player/Peyton_Manning
I have seen what you are talking about, and like ive said it has similarities to his signature never once said it was authentic and i have not said it was a fake. But unlike all the other statements from everyone else you have giving me the reasons of why you beleive it is a fake and i respect all input if they have a valid reason why. I have not and will not ever try to pass a fake as being real, and i usually only post valid manufactured issued autos. But this auto has been taken to three local card dealers and 2 beleive it to be real and one does not. This auctiion is all left up to the person bidding now. some beleive it to be authentic and others beleive it to be a fake i am still unclear and not interested in this card if it is a real auto or if it is not. If i was worried about it that much I would have paid to have it examined and authenticated, but its just not worth the time or the money for me to mess with. good luck to all the bidders if you believe then bid away if you believe it to be a fake then dont bid that is all i can say. And thanks again Whitetyger68 for your input with the ability to back up your oppinion much apprciated!!
no problem hun, it still is a great card and like I said everyone will have their own opinion and it is just up to each person what they feel it to be? I am watching this card even if I do believe it to be a fake because my youngest daughter is such a peyton fan lol she would go crazy over this card whether it had a sig or not haha. good luck any way it turns out!
U wanna cookie? Bwaahaahaa! I crack up every time I read that response!
I for one think this auto is real. I agree with whytetyger about the "M" not looking right but I have noticed that I sign my own autograph differently plenty of times. I'm not an expert by any means but I compared it to about a dozen different "legit" copies of his signature and the only thing in my mind that is certain is the fact that he seems to sign his name slightly different on all of them.
I've never sent in an autograph to psacard.com before but it looks like it would only cost $30 to get this authenticated. That's not a bad price. I tried bidding but rchmans proxy bid is too high for me. I'm a little credit poor because I just won a Jordan auto that I wasn't even sure was real but I plan on sending it in for authentication. But hey, good luck with this auction man. If its actually real you are going to make someone a happy collector.
Thanks jothand just get irritated by knowitalls that don't know jack! I too have noticed the m but to me it looks like it was just scribbled as fast rush as to say I don't have time for this but........ but hey I don't know it all neither. Lol
also to help put other members minds at ease, Don72 wasn't quite right. For baseball the parallels for the Inscribed Gold parallel series had their signature autopenned in gold on the front of the card. The football series however DID NOT have any autopen signature to its gold parallel of the base card set. You can see for yourself here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Football-/215/i.html?_nkw=fleer+inscribed+gold&_catref=1&_dmpt=US_Baseball&_trksid=p3286.c0.m1538
RchMan must be rich because he doesn't give away anything and has low levels of everything BUT credits! rackin' frackin' cookie crunchin' muffin munchin' poodle punchin'... lol
thanks for the message ck i see what your talking about, kinda made up my mind. looks like as he was walking and signing just kinda did it in a hurry like robbie32 said theres autos that is not rushed and then there is autos done in a hurry.
hmmm..Fleer Inscribed was the name of the product from 2004, the gold parallels like this were #d out of 199 but none of them were autographed. So the card had to have been signed after being pulled from a pack, box, etc.
I couldn't find anywhere in the beckett that fleer did any non certified autos like the 90s proline issue so wasn't sure if it was manufacturer issued. But compared to certified autos on ebay it has a striking similarities
Wow,crazyncman, get a life.Real or not it is a sweet card.I will be bidding.I love it when newbies with a total of 20 feebacks act like they are the sports authority figurehead.
see im in the lead lol hi earl btw i deal with autos always remember there are 2 different types of autos in a rush like the doctors auto then theres the no rush auto so plus i had peytons auto before i should know what it looks like
