Billy Pierce was a 7-time All Star and a perennial MVP candidate. h won 15 or more games 7 times and 20 games twice (1956-57). he led the league in ERA and strikeouts once each,and complete games 3 times, and pitched in the World Series for both the Giants and the White Sox. For his career, he was 211-169 with a 3.27 ERA and 1999 strikeouts, all impressive numbers.
