Please forgive my ignorance as I am not a coin collector, but am trying to suprise my husband, who is a beginner. Can you explain what the numbers mean such as "1371" the year it was made or is "1952". What do these numbers mean? Thanks and sorry for the newbie question. Jan

the date 1371 is in the Islamic calender. the date 1952 is in the more commonly used Jillian calender. Just like the BC and AD, the Islamic world started their calender in the time of the P{prophet Muhammad. the dates and years do not meet up, and their new year in approximately halfway thru our new year . So my our recogning, it was minted in about 1952, in their recognizing it was minted in 1371, either way it is about 58 years old. Hope that helps
