The listing, Purple silvertone flower basket brooch has ended.

Dark purple glass or crystals are set in silvertone detailed basket for a total of just under 2 inches of sparkling beauty. The pin of this brooch is set top to bottom so that it won't fall off kilter.

The purple is the same color as Swarovski purple velvet and, indeed, were sold to me as Swaros, but I don't buy it.
Either way, this is a gorgeous mother's day gift or office accent.

Why is shipping so high? The brooches I've bought on Ebay haven't even cost that much to ship.

Perhaps you have never sent concealed cash to scammers on this site, but I have; I am constantly losing credits to people who "don't have paypal" once I've won the listing. I've returned postage to people who "didn't get the item" even though confirmation says it was delivered. It costs me a minimum of $2.50 to package jewelry. I don't, however, know why I believe it is necessary to explain this to you. I certainly don't make money on this site, nor can I afford to lose it or I would be offering free shipping. Please do not bid on any of my items.

I agree totally. My future daughter-in-law is making a bridal bouquet out of brooches. We have been trying to win brooches on here to make it. Her colors are plumb and purple but we have other colors too. These kids today have some new refreshing ideas to reuse our old stuff. No problem with your rules.
