They are just clamps they have little ridges like grip teeth on them to hold on to things like a cloth or sponge and they have little things in the middle that keep them in place so you don't have to hold on so tight. I am sorry I never really used these type and I am not sure on the terms of them. Thanks

Hmm.. Can you take an up close picture of the tops? They kind of look like hemostats, but before I bid I want to make sure. :) (I'm a licensed body piercer)

Just wanna give you a heads up things like this have an awful tendency not to make it to NY if they're not going to a professional studio so either disguise it very well or I would suggest insurance just in case. Just trying to help! =D
