I bought it from an elderly woman who was cleaning house at a yard sale. She said she had it as a younger woman when she lived in Chicago before moving to Florida. While I don't doubt it I have no way of knowing if that was true or not.

The woman was around 90 years old, so my guess would be 40-50 years old. The purse interior looks unused, and also is made of a muslin-like material as opposed to shiny silky fabric. The sequin-like things are glued on - not sewn.
