The listing, Knitting Pattern Doll Clothes for B & K has ended.
I've had this pattern listed for a while but it was tucked in behind the sewing doll clothes. So, I am bringing it out where you knitters can find it. Most pattern are for your favorite girl fashion doll, but if possible the boy's are in () after the girl's. Except, of course for skirts and things that a boy wouldn't wear. These are great for using up some of those small balls of left overs you have. It only takes a few yards to dress a little doll. Then you can make stripes as shown in the pictures. Kids wear all sorts of color combinations so the dolls can too. When my mom made my clothes she would never have mixed colors like they do now. You can make the same sweater in a dozen different colos and the child will love them all. You don't have to make the same sweater beause there are a lot of choices You can knit a sweater from the waist up or sideways. Lots of extras too, slippers, scarves, underwear. They are small and quick to make. You can make one or two in an evening while watching TV unless its a really good show. I get by with only looking occassionally and knitting like ethat. Then teach the little girl to knit too. I used to sew my own doll clothes when I was 8 and still playing with dolls. I used mom's old treadle machine. I didn't knit unmtil college but I crocheted lots of handkerchiefs and doll clothes for the 8 inch dolls we had then before3 Barbie was born. Kids should learn these things instead of just piushing buttons. Learn to sew them on too.
