Description
The listing, Colgate Tooth Powder has ended.
This 4 oz.can was in my grandmother's medicine cabinet when she passed. It does have a UPC code, so it is probably from the 1970's..she has been gone for more than 15 years now, so this is very old. It's almost full. You can look online and find similar products. It is vintage. If you know any dentists or anyone collecting cans or vintage apothacary items, this may be a great gift that you just don't find everyday.
Questions & Comments
yes by all means kelly go ahead and ingest this ANTIQUE. geesh the nerve of some people!!! I think it is a great auction
Although ingestible items are against the rules on Listia, this item is fine to list because it is a collectible/antique item and not meant for consumption. It falls into the collectible/antique category. I haven't seen one of these in years! My grandparents had some in their medicine cabinet too. Best of luck with your auction.

Thanks,I had no intention of this being a useable item...I collected cans, so I always had it for display.
It's big in India! They recently re-launched the Colgate tooth powder :) I like vintage items that sill have contents inside & you'd have to be certifiable to test it.lol
WOW - so much hype this has generated! OF COURSE leave the contents, how cool...also, even if someone "tried" this, it would probably not be ingested (would anyone really EAT it?!?!?)...boy, some people have way too much time on their hands to police and tattle on listia auctions! I LOVE your auction and would love to display this in my "apothecary" bathroom...II'm going to be following you!
way cool. fanned you. i understand the "leaving the contents inside" thing. its for nastolgic effect. its not like someones going to use 20 year old tooth powder! we are all adults here! ive never actually seen a tooth powder can. my grams told me about how she had to use powder when she was little, and thwy made her brush her teeth at school. how weird.

Thank You..I'll be glad when this auction is OVER :-)
I was a can collector,so if anyone would like the can, it's actually the collectible item. Not the contents, so if anyone would like to purchase this item, then feel free to visit that web site...I'm auctioning the can w/ the contents.Thank You
I've seen this item on e-bay before, but just never tried selling it on there. It was part of my can collection, and up until we moved I always had a place to display all of my cans, but now I have no room, so I have a shed full of stuff to get rid of.
