The listing, PS3 for parts or repair, backwards compatible RLOD has ended.

This console needs the gpu reflowed and the bluray drive replaced with the power/eject pc board replaced as well to run again. this is for the console only.
no games, controllers or cords are included....

the ps3 powers on for a second and flashes its red light before turning off.

the top case latches are broken but still slides on.

this includes the 80gb hard drive that is still inside. I do not know the firmware it is running. it is a backwards compatible unit that will play ps1 and ps2 games as well.

there is no free shipping as I cannot afford to offer it. I do not accept paypal, I only accept Postal money orders and concealed cash. I ship out every two weeks according to my pay schedule.I thank you in advance for your patience

whats wrong with the disc drive? does it still have the laser diode inside?

the drive will npt eject or accept discs but the laser is still there, the laser may still be good but i'm unsure because it worked at first before the drive stopped accepting discs so I tried swapping the laser out to another BC unit and it wouldn't read on that one. I put the laser back with the drive since my results were null
