The listing, COMPAQ PRESARIO 700 has ended.

This works, but has several issues. It is an older laptop and has a 20 gb hard drive. It has windows xp pro installed. The hinge covers are missing but that is just cosmetic. tHIS IS an "as is" Laptop. It has a wireless adapter that I think is pcmcia, but I couldn't get it to work with my wireless. It will need a charger Will do free shipping if credits go over 2000

Yes it would work with a power supply and no battery. It has a battery but it doesn't charge.

K i just turned this laptop on and i had to set the time and date in bios again. so cmos battery may need changing. Just didn't want anyone to get it and be suprised by that. if you want to be taken off the bid or whatever just email me. Had I known this in the beginning I would have stated it I promise. Not that big a deal though

O btw it may be just because the regular battery it toast that it doesn't hold the time and date in bios. windows should retain its time though.

I am not sure about the cmos battery. That is what holds the date and time in bios so even if it does need to be changed it wont effect the laptops performance. The battery does not charge at all. So the laptop will need to stay plugged in while in use. You will probably need a wireless adapter of plug an ethernet cord into. Yes you will need a power cord for this laptop, sorry I dont have one to send.
