It's almost 2016, and my acorn squash from the summer are still storing well in the root cellar. They are also delicious! I've been saving the seeds as I cut them open, but have more than enough to plant next year. I'm happy to share with you :)

I believe these were originally Table Queen acorn squash, but I have been regrowing them from seeds I've saved for the past 6-7 years so I can't promise my memory is correct there. However, these are very good squash and this strain has given me absolutely no problems and produced a steady supply of squash every year.

These are grown without commercial pesticides of any kind, though I am not certified organic. To control grubs I interplant with radishes, and to keep off above ground bugs I spray with a veggie oil/dishsoap combo after every rain. So eat these and know you're eating clean!

These are easy to grow and great for beginners. They like loose soil, lots of compost, and share space well with root veggies.
