Description

The listing, Gemstone tiger-eye snake figure or totem collectible has ended.

This is a small carved snake figure made out of a gemstone called tiger-eye. It is perfect for a reptile lover, stone lover, or someone who works with kudalini energy or animal totems.

I collected snakes for many years (it is one of my personal totem animals), but am trying to streamline my personal collection to those most important to me. I am letting this little guy go. It is in perfect condition, and has been treated with great respect over the years. Every few months it was soaked in saltwater and/or set in the moonlight to keep it clean.

Snakes have many mythology representations. Here are a few meanings:

Fore those working with Kundalini: Kundalini literally means coiled. The life force lies coiled at the base of the spine, and is often seen as a sleeping serpent, hence a number of English renderings of the term such as 'serpent power'. The kundalini resides in the sacrum bone in three and a half coils and has been described as a residual power of pure desire. The progress of kundalini through the different chakras leads to different levels of awakening and mystical experience.

For the snake as a totem: Snake represents typically birth, resurrection, initiation, and wisdom. They are symbols of change and healing. It is not coincidental the modern medical logos include snakes, as do many symbols of magic. Snakes have the power of transmutation, able to work with energies of the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional and change what is needed in to the other forms for healing purposes.

he is beautiful and puts me in mind of my own dearly beloved snake (see picture) my own sweet snake has escorted me to many rituals and gatherings. and thanks to our nosey government I might have to find a home for him in a zoo. they made it illegal to take him across state lines and we live gypsy style in an rv.

I honor your lifestyle I've always wished to do that!

I also keep snakes, and live in Ohio where they are also looking to ban reptiles. I hope someday us who chose to live with exotic animals are accepted.

Me too!I would love to live in an rv.I have too much crap though to live the life of a gypsy.I hate when stupid government rules dictate what we can grow...what guns we can have or what animals we can have.I always wanted a skunk but in Tn.they will kill them if they find them!We got along fine for hundreds of years without those laws.Fanned and watching

I keep challenging myself to streamine what I own (thus these auctions lol) I find it is easier for me to part with things I love if I give the item specifically to one person, as I do on listia. I feel bad giving these up to just a thrift store. I like a site called tiny house listings and look at it weekly, daydreaming that eventually my pets and i will fit in one and we will be free from renting a home.
