****Genuine Murano Glass is only imported directly from Venice, Italy, made by Master Craftsmen. It dates back to the Roman Empire where it was originated in Venice. in 1291 law was passed that glass was only to be manufactured in Murano, Italy. A subsequent law was passed in 1295 that glassmakers were forbidden to leave Murano, to ensure trade secrets were never divulged. These artisans were richly rewarded for their talents, given privileged social status and their daughters were allowed to marry into the wealthiest and noblest of Venetian families. Pretty cool huh?****

This is for a Genuine Murano Glass Pendant by Vebir in Green & Gold. It comes on an 18" black velvet flat cord with gold-colored clasp. There is a sparkly gold-colored bead atop 3 gold-colored spring like links leading to this stunning & thick pendant that's 1 1/2"L. The pendant is green glass on the back and clear glass on the front. Sandwiched between these two pieces is a mix of green & white millefiori slices, light & dark green dabs of glass and gold foil. The back is also printed with the words "MURANO GLASS" in gold letters. It's an absolutely beautiful and bold necklace! It's nestled in a black velvet pouch and the original box with company logo. Pendants of this size and type run about $40-$45 for just the pendant alone! I just found a couple similar to this one on Amazon.
