First off 1 of the prongs is missing or broke on the bottom right in picture. the stone isn't loose or anything but winner may want to get a prong put on it, or if you work with jewelry maybe even use it in any number of settings of any kind. the garnet is beautiful. I was told it was sterling or 925 silver and it looks like there was a mark of some kind in it at one time shown in last picture, sorry best I could get with my camera.
