Well, I have been giving these away for credits since about the first of the year. I have auctioned off well over a hundred of them. Every person that has received one has been quite happy, so it's worked out very well for many people so far. Check out the feedback I get on them. Rather impressive if I do say so, myself... I believe so. I know stainless steel is engravable. But, I am neither a jeweler nor an engraver, so I am not qualified to say for sure. Sorry.

I wouldn't know. I don't buy them retail. I know what people occasionally buy them from me for. But, I don't think that would be considered 'retail', either. I mostly trade/ give them away for Listia credits.
Your question seems more suited for a retail jeweler to answer. They are the experts in the field.
