Hi, the chain is called a safety chain, not really for larger wrists but to catch the bracelet in case the clasp hooks something and loosens. F&W Its very nice!

Thank you! By "marked," do you mean scratched or scuffed? If so, I inspected the bracelet and there appears to be some VERY minor scuffs in the metal, but it is hardly noticeable. The bracelet was previously owned by my grandmother, and I've kept it in a box my whole life. So I assume the tiny scuffs are a product of the bracelet's old age.
If you meant is there any brand or designer on the bracelet, "Cora" appears engraved on the underside of the clasp.

There is no such stamp. I'm pretty sure it's just gold metal.
