Description

The listing, DIY T-Shirt to Halter Top Transformation has ended.

I listed an identical auction to this before, but it's back now by request.

Here's the idea: Why throw out a T-shirt and buy a new halter tank top when you can give your old tee a second life? The easy instructions I've created show you how to change a regular tee into a halter top, with two variations (backed halter and tied halter). These instructions can be used for any shirt size and any body type---it's completely up to you! And the best part? If you can cut cloth, use a ruler, and stick a needle through fabric, you can make these designs. No fancy tricks, no tough stitches, no sewing jargon, no machines, nothing. Just basic stuff. As a bonus, I've included several fun decorating twists that will help you customize your new halter top into a unique creation just for you.

The winner will receive these instructions as a document (with step-by-step photos included) attached to an email. Or, if a little extra privacy is desired, I am willing to type the instructions out into a private message via the winner's Listia profile. The only thing is, the pics will have to be sent as links. It might take a little more time for the winner to reference while sewing. ;) I promise I will use the messages/emails according to Listia policy. I will never spam or stalk you or anything, and I expect the same in return.

Please Note: The pics included are not the tops I've made, but they are the exact same styles. Of course, the colors of your finished shirt will vary, depending on what tee you started out with. ;) (By the way, my camera sucks; if I'd used it for pics, you would've seen color and shape, but not much detail. These are way clearer, and as I said, the styles are the same.) Also, just to clarify, I am NOT taking bids for my pre-made shirts, just the instructions. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :)

Yes, Gibby, you can find stuff online on how to make a lot of things. But nowhere on Google will you find this specific tutorial, for one; nor all the different styles given and explained consistently in one tutorial, for two; nor the unique personal advice and instructions included throughout and at the end, for three. And granted, you can guess how to customize and figure out how to make your altered clothes fit and whatnot by looking up a ton of stuff, trying to pick the "right" instructions or patterns with minimal sewing machine use, and learn through trial and error. But if you don't have the time, shirts, patience, and/or technical sewing knowledge for that stuff (I sure don't!), you're better off with one illustrated tutorial explained through experience in plain everyday English without machine requirements.

Oh so it's not a real shirt? Like the title says? Oh. That could have been more clear.
