I sconced this from my family estate sale. Unfortunately there's no bottom, but these pieces can be desirable without both parts (or maybe you have a "nest" without the hen?) I will describe it as translucent opalescent (not opaque), My Grandmother was an antiques dealer and she used to have several of the complete sets. Cannot attest to the age of this piece. No flaws.
