The listing, vintage West Germany necklace - beautiful condition has ended.

My mom wore this a few times. Now she's 92, and is helping me look through her jewelry collection. She had a little shop and sold vintage jewelry for a time - buying pieces from the Gene Harris auction house...about thirty years ago.

This is marked West Germany. I tried to catch the words in the photos, and if you look at them in large size, you can see it. I've looked through each strand and see no damage.

Interesting, interesting old piece with so much detail. Nonsmoking home.

I am not a jewelry collector, so feel free to ask questions.

:) Marked West Germany on the back of the clasp. Most likely from the fifties. W. Germany was a major player in the costume jewelry industry in the 50's. A push into the costume jewelry industry was made by W. Germany after the war to rebuild their economy. Every necklace seems to be a bit different - if you like the faceted beads, they seem to be available in almost all colors...fun thing to start collecting.
