This was purchased just over 20 years ago at an indian gathering.one weekend a year in a town we lived in there was a festival where different indian tribes came together to teach the white men their ways.they would tell lots of stories,let you join in on there dances,sell hand made crafts.if i remember right it was crafted by the cherokee.i think the bone shapes are called hairpipe,but they are real bone.it is a very nice item.
