this game can play on playstation or playstation 2, but won't play on playstation 3. no scratches, still perfect condition, back wouldn't take picture it's black cd on back, it was mine and i play computer games now

The playstation 3 has to be backwards compatible in order to play playstation or playstation 2 games. I hope this helps on your auction.

I think the slim ps3 has a better percent of playing ps1 games than the fatter ps3, since the slim is a newer model

PS1 games should play on any PS3 model. It's not a matter of older vs. newer, that only comes down to PS2 games, the older ones can play PS2 games because they have actual PS hardware built inside (and then the later model of those only had part and the rest was emulated) PS1 games are always emulated. when you buy a PSOne classic game on PSN all you're getting is the original game but without the disc, it then runs on the PS3's emulator. It could just be your PS3 is picky or this game itself might not be compatible with it.
