The listing, The Gimp, fly of DOOM has ended.
Before you sits...The Gimp. Joe Cornwall's Gimp to be precise, named for the tiny gimp feather tied to the top of the size 14 hook. But be not dismayed by it's size, dear bidder, for it is the fly of DOOOOM!
The two fish photos provided are of the first trip I took the gimp with me just last week. At a nearby river, there were spincast fisherman a plenty, but none of them catching many fish. It's been this way for a few weeks, fisherman desperate for a little action as the weather warms up.
Can you imagine the sick sort of pride I developed as I moved around the shore and landed fish after fish? Bass, bluegill, perch, the odd tree... none could deny the gimp, even with my lack luster casting skills. It almost didn't matter where I chose along the shore, fish couldn't fight the allure of this rarely seen pattern.
For you, a freshly tied Gimp. Go. Fish and be merry. And grin at the envy of the other fishermen/people.
