The listing, Fiskars 45mm Rotary Cutter has ended.
This is an ideal tool for cutting through heavy stock or multiple layers of paper, felt, vinyl, cardboard, mat board, cloth, leather and fiberglass material This item is Brand New still in package. My mom bought this and never used it so now its here for you :) price on package is $16.19 so to offer free shipping I will be offering extra cutter wheels with storage cases plus a cutter mat seperate. So want acessories also check my other auctions. Good Luck :)
It is wonderful that this is the newer design (safer)... I had one of the first ever & WOW at the damage you can do to yourself --- these really are fabulous, especially if you have stiff hands and/or do a whole lot of fabric cutting...
Hmm I didn't know that thanks for the information I'm glad its the newer version too even though I'm not that familiar with the uses of the item (that's the reason I listed the price) I'm glad I haven't listed something that will hurt someone ;) Thanks for the comment I've learned something new :) Hope you get a chance to bid :)
Allow me to clarify --- I have a set... my Mom has a set.... and 2 of my sisters (the 2 who sew) have sets..... we all LOVE the Rotary Cutters ---- My Mom used to own a Bridal Shop & made many custom dresses. I used to make alot of curtains & slip-covers prior to my current level of disability --- if it weren't for Rotary Cutters.... Both me & Mom would have had to throw in the towel over a decade ago. I can Highly Recommend these --- you MUST have the mat IF you are going to use these...... putting anything else under them is hazardous for numerous reasons, not to mention will dull the blade & affect the cut-thru of the material. Rotary cutters can be used on the most delicate fabric & will also cut thru heavy duck-cloth if you have the proper setting & choice of blade.
This piece of info is a tutorial desigend for quilter's who want to use a rotary cutter --- the reason I am putting it here is because it covers the topic of SAFE USE of Rotary Cutter, I hope it is okay to place this here: http://www.purlbee.com/rotary-cutter-tutorial/
@ gypsy thanks for the info I am a novice sewer and would like to know where I can find some inexpensive patterns. Love this post eyes wide open for this . :)
