The perfect haven for your feathered friends. Birdhouse Gourds are a long-handled, ball-shaped gourd. Use your own personal touch to decorate. They can be painted or left natural. Grow a fall project for the kids!
Plant can be grown on the ground or trellis. Have fun growing!

Annual, plant depth 1/2", thin 4' to 6', full sun, germination 10 to 20 days, maturity 100 to 120 days.

Garden tip: For best germination, nick the seedcoat. Soak in lukewarm water for 24 hours before planting. Best to plant in soil temperature is 65 degrees or higher.

Drying tip: Pick gourds when entire vine is dry and brown. Handle gently and turn weekly as gourds dry in warm, airy place. Do not cut or decorate until completely dry and seeds rattle.
